Phillip Philbeck paints gorgeous landscapes of his home state of North Carolina. In the Nantahala National Forest, there is an amazing scene when the sun casts a shadow on Whiteside Mountain. The image of a bear appears on the mountainside, and it looks as if the animal will leap over the valley below. This "Eternal Spirit Bear" is one of the state's most popular attractions.
