George Hallmark takes us West to the "Shadows of San Xavier." Founded in 1692, the mission is in the center of a Papago Indian settlement along the Santa Cruz River. While supplies are being unloaded, these donkeys enjoy the shadows that offer them respite from the sun. At the same time, the beautiful, white stucco mission seems to glow in the midst of the desert.
