Aileen Nover was born on a slanting hillside in the Mississippi Valley in March of 1937. As a matter of adaption to her environment, one leg became shorter than the other. In that manner, when she walks north along the west bank of the river, she stands and walks with ease. However, she is known to often tumble down the banks into the river when walking south. This occurs, of course, when her long leg is on the right, up hill side, as she proceeds about her daily tasks.
She is a graduate of the Steel Mills School of Art located in downtown Cheyenne, WY and is represented by Snow Goose Gallery of Union Mills, IN.
